SOC Analyst

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a SOC Analyst to join a large government contractor by defending multi-domain, on-prem, and cloud environments. The SOC Analyst will work closely with security teams and other work centers to ensure successful delivery of cybersecurity operations. This position will be on site in Newington, VA .

Responsibilities of the SOC Analyst include:

• Interact daily with the team to deliver on customer requirements

• Collaborate across work centers to secure cloud and on-prem environments

• Support a mission-focused customer with high expectations

• Triage and resolve security events and incidents, defending environments with multiple boundaries

• Apply technical knowledge, interpersonal skills, and determination to solve challenging operational requirements




Required Qualifications for the SOC Analyst:

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related field

• Bachelor's degree

• Active TS/SCI clearance

• Certifications: Security+, CEH

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail




Preferred Skills:

• Splunk Enterprise Security (Admin & SPL)

• AWS Security

• User Behavior Analytics

• Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)

• Network Detection & Response (NDR)

• IDS/IPS technologies

Compensation for the SOC Analyst includes:

• Salary: $130,000 - $150,000

• Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Paid Time Off, and Federal Holidays
