About The Role
We are seeking a talented ServiceNow Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform in support of the FAA BNATCS contract. This role is responsible for building scalable solutions that deliver data integrations, dashboard visualizations and consolidate program deliverables. The ServiceNow Engineer will collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and process owners to deliver secure, efficient, and innovative solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Details
Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

About The Role
We are seeking a talented ServiceNow Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform in support of the FAA BNATCS contract. This role is responsible for building scalable solutions that deliver data integrations, dashboard visualizations and consolidate program deliverables. The ServiceNow Engineer will collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and process owners to deliver secure, efficient, and innovative solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development
- Design, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows.
- Develop custom scripts, UI policies, business rules, and integrations using JavaScript and ServiceNow APIs.
- Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline IT and business processes.
- Manage ServiceNow instances, including upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
- Ensure platform stability, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Maintain documentation of configurations, customizations, and processes.
- Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems (REST, SOAP, JDBC, etc.).
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance across applications.
- Support reporting and dashboard development for business intelligence.
- Partner with ITSM, ITOM, HR, and other business units to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow-related issues.
- Train and mentor junior developers and administrators on ServiceNow best practices.
- Stay current with ServiceNow releases, new features, and industry best practices.
- Recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, user experience, and platform adoption.
- Contribute to governance and standards for ServiceNow development and administration.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 5 years of experience, Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with experience developing and administering ServiceNow applications.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting.
- Experience with ServiceNow developer modules.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow integration methods (REST, SOAP, APIs).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust as required by the contract.
- While this is a remote capable role, candidates for this role must live in the immediate local area (DC/MD/NoVA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Developer certification strongly preferred.
- Strong preference for candidates with at least 3-5 years of working experience related to ServiceNow
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
