Signal and Power Integrity Engineer

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre- and post-layout Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) simulations using industry-standard tools
- Collaborate with hardware design and PCB layout teams to ensure SI/PI compliance in board designs
- Develop and apply design guidelines, best practices, and validation criteria for high-speed digital circuits
- Analyze and optimize Power Distribution Networks (PDNs) for stability and minimal noise under varied conditions
- Generate technical reports and documentation summarizing simulation results, design recommendations, and issue resolutions
- Conduct root cause analysis and debug of SI/PI issues in prototypes and production hardware
- Stay current with advancements in SI/PI methodologies, simulation tools, and high-speed design trends
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field
(Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience) - 5+ years of experience in high-speed digital Signal and Power Integrity analysis
(or 3+ years with a Master's) - Preferred: Active or ability to obtain DoD TS/SCI security clearance
- Proficiency with SI/PI simulation tools:
- Siemens HyperLynx, Ansys SIwave, Cadence Sigrity, Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS
- Strong foundation in:
- Transmission line theory, crosstalk, impedance matching, return paths, via stubs, etc.
- Experience with PCB layout tools and high-speed design constraints
- Familiarity with PDN analysis, decoupling strategies, and impedance profiles
- Preferred: Exposure to high-speed serial interfaces including DDR, PCIe, SERDES
- Working knowledge of EMC/EMI considerations in board-level design
