Role Overview
As a Production Industrial Engineer, you will analyze, improve, and optimize our production operations. You will work at the intersection of data, processes, and people-helping ensure our manufacturing lines operate efficiently, safely, and on schedule. This role combines technical expertise with leadership and problem-solving to drive impactful change in our fast-paced, agile production environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Apply advanced Industrial Engineering techniques to streamline production processes and reduce waste.
• Partner with Facilities Engineers to plan new production lines and factory layouts.
• Support Manufacturing Engineers in developing standards and measuring shop performance against targets.
• Build and analyze discrete event simulations to identify bottlenecks, resource constraints, and optimization opportunities.
• Interrogate and interpret production data to surface problems and implement improvements.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and ensure sustainment of results.
• Mentor, train, and guide junior industrial engineers.
• Collaborate across all functional groups throughout the product lifecycle.
• Occasionally provide weekend or off-hour support to maintain production schedules.
• Develop actionable, data-driven solutions to optimize production schedules, costs, and efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, candidates should have:
• Industrial Engineering experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Project management experience.
• Experience developing, monitoring, and reporting metrics related to cost and schedule performance.
• Experience with forecasts, production schedules, and/or resource load staffing plans.
• Discrete event simulation experience for production processes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Industrial Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience planning, launching, and ramping up new production lines or factories.
• Leadership experience with the ability to develop high-performing teams and resolve conflicts.
• Proficiency with SAP, Apriso, VECAMS, Tableau, Simio, or other simulation/analytics software.
• Ability to execute ramp plans that increase production rates while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for interacting with production operations and program offices.
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Production experience and familiarity with new program launch processes.
• Earned Value Management (EVMS) experience, including S-Curves, Schedule Performance Index (SPI), and Cost Performance Index (CPI).
• Ability to construct executive-level presentations and brief senior leadership.
• Active Secret security clearance is highly preferred.
