SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT SME

Support mission-critical initiatives and enable the growth of our business as a Solutions Architect SME at GDIT. Here, you'll become an integral part of how GDIT is able to ensure the safety and security of our nation. GDIT is seeking a Solutions Architect SME to provide technical leadership and support in the area of solution specification/design for our Diplomacy, Environment, Law Enforcement, and Financial Agencies Sector. You will need to possess strong knowledge of information technology and commercial solutions; and have significant experience designing and developing technical solutions in multiple disciplines, like data center, cloud, communications, technical security, and cyber security. You will also need to have a proven track record of proposal delivery, excellent communications skills, and a strong customer service orientation.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

• Planning and designing solutions and procedures pertaining to security applications and technology within the diplomatic security space
• Evaluation of department countermeasures policies/procedure and make recommendations for applying technology and applications to enhance technical security
• Planning and designing cloud platforms/applications that will enhance diplomatic security capabilities
• Evaluation of the departments application of technology and make recommendations for modernization
• Planning and designing cloud platforms/applications that will enhance procedures and data collection for countermeasures programs
• Act as technical liaison between customer technical points of contact and GDIT project staff to facilitate IT strategic planning
• Coordinate "reach back" with technical subject matter experts (SME) within GDIT to obtain specific knowledge or expertise to address technical issues
• Respond to technical questions and research requests from customers and programs. Perform business case analysis to support decision making process
• Maintain technical proficiency by keeping current with the latest technologies, trends, standards, & products

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your initiative and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Solutions Architect SME must have:

• Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
• Experience: 15+ years of related experience in Information Technology and Technical Security
• Security clearance level: secret
• US citizenship required
• Role requirements: Experience with countermeasures policies/procedures. Experience designing/implementing technical security solutions. Strong knowledge of government procurement and proposal processes Experience developing lifecycle cost estimates for technical solutions. Strong communication, presentation, facilitation and writing skills. Ability to work independently or part of a cross functional team.
• Location: This is a hybrid position working in our GDIT facility in Falls Church, VA and Sterling, VA. Must be comfortable working onsite 3 days a week.
