Overview:
· Position: Senior Systems Engineer
· Format: Hired directly as full-time employee
· Location: Kettering, OH (100% onsite; NOT REMOTE)
· Salary: $140,000 - 160,000
· Clearance: Secret with willingness/ability to upgrade to Top Secret
· Interview Process: 1-Round; Virtual

Responsibilities:
· Identify and implement emerging IT acquisition strategies and best practices. Support acquisition planning, cybersecurity information assurance, test and evaluation, and verification and validation processes for IT/software systems.
· Review the program portfolio to assess and recommend alternative plans, enhance systems engineering programs and processes, manage the technical baseline, and conduct system-level tests to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
· Conduct program reviews to evaluate alternative plans, systems engineering programs, and design/test outcomes, ensuring that subsystem and system performance meets program specifications.
· Create technical documentation that defines and recommends system and subsystem characteristics.
· Prepare management reports and deliver technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective actions, applying engineering principles.
· Validate software systems by developing evaluation criteria and procedures, analyzing results, and providing recommendations.
· Offer Agile and digital engineering support, including technical assistance and training for various programs and initiatives, covering acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, deployment, and operations oversight.
· Provide engineering support for program and project risk management activities, in line with AF Systems Engineering Assessment Model (SEAM) processes.
· Perform all engineering activities in accordance with DOD, AF, and AFMC regulations and directives, including AFI 63-101 and its updates.
Qualifications:
· U.S. Citizenship is required.
· An advanced degree (MA/MS) or doctorate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program with 10 years of experience, at least 5 of which must be in the DoD. OR
· A BA/BS degree in the same fields with 12 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoD. OR
· A total of 15 years of directly relevant experience, with 8 years in the DoD.
· CompTIA Security+ CE certification is required.
· Must maintain a Tier 1/NACI clearance.
Preferred Certifications:
· AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or associate).
· AWS Cloud Practitioner or equivalent Microsoft Azure certification.
· Current certification in Oracle/OCI products and/or databases.
· Agile/Scrum certifications (desired).
