About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Portfolio Support Specialist to advance enterprise-wide insider threat initiatives within a federal defense or intelligence organization. This position focuses on ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity standards, supporting IT portfolio management, and providing oversight across multiple mission areas. The role requires collaboration with senior stakeholders, technical expertise in IT systems and architecture, and strong policy alignment capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture:
Collaborate with organizational components to design and evolve enterprise IT and security architecture frameworks.
Develop and maintain architecture artifacts supporting insider threat programs.
Ensure proper documentation and storage of architecture content in knowledge repositories.
Knowledge Management & Compliance:
Support knowledge management for business processes and IT system data.
Ensure alignment with federal and agency IT standards.
Maintain compliance with IT governance directives, cybersecurity policies, and federal regulations (e.g., FISMA).
Systems Development & Migration:
Support development, modernization, and transition of IT systems using structured architecture methods.
Facilitate system migrations while ensuring operational continuity, compliance, and mission success.
Portfolio Management & Policy Support:
Provide portfolio oversight and data support for insider threat IT system architectures.
Support IT policy processes, including drafting, revising, coordinating, and resource assessments.
Collaborate with senior IT leadership to align monitoring and security initiatives across enterprise programs.
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years supporting defense, intelligence, or federal IT portfolio, architecture, or cybersecurity programs.
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF) and IT portfolio management.
Understanding of federal IT compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST RMF).
Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders and translating policy into actionable IT solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting insider threat, counterintelligence, or security mission sets.
Familiarity with User Activity Monitoring (UAM) strategies and technologies.
Prior experience supporting senior defense or intelligence offices.
