We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer Sr Staff to serve as Operations Readiness Lead.
In this pivotal role, you will own the end-to-end readiness plan supporting ramping production rate and manufacturing transitions, ensuring our people, processes, equipment and facilities are prepared to meet aggressive business objectives with minimal disruption. You will be at the heart of our growth efforts - driving cross-functional readiness across engineering, facilities and operations as well as integrating all efforts to enable smooth factory transitions, sustained production and business continuity.
What You Will Be Doing
• Develop, maintain, and execute an integrated Operations Readiness Plan covering people, process, equipment, space and documentation
• Lead rate readiness and transition planning for production relocations, expansions or consolidations
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing transitions, capacity constraints or facility moves
• Partner with Engineering and Facilities to align capacity, layout and capital plans to rate goals
• Manage cross-functional readiness reviews; ensure enablers, requirements and other dependencies are defined and tracked to closure
• Track and communicate readiness status and risk to senior leadership
• Coordinate escalation and issue resolution across functional stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, operations or industrial engineering
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through high-visibility, high-impact, fast paced and deadline-driven operational transitions
• Proven ability to lead large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge of capital project planning, construction coordination and large-scale equipment integration
• Strong organizational, risk management and communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels
• Lean Six Sigma trained
• Ability to support up to 15% of overtime annually as required with periodic weekend support
• Ability to support occasional business travel
• Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Systems or related discipline
• Experience leading manufacturing site transitions, rate readiness programs, or retooling projects
• Ability to influence and drive accountability without direct authority across multiple functional teams
• Proficiency with MS Project, Primavera, ERP systems or similar planning tools
• PMP Certified
• Lean Six Sigma Certified
• Experience within aerospace or defense manufacturing environments
