Position Description

This Logistics Analyst position will be on a dynamic team responsible for engineering support, maintenance management and life cycle support of undersea warfare systems for our customer in the Newport, Rhode Island area. Serco supports the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) including support for the design, acquisition, testing and sustainment of naval undersea warfare systems. You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer to provide the UUV and AUV vehicles in a baseline configuration, install/integrate customer desired changes, perform at sea runs, and return the vehicles to their baseline configurations in support of Navy Uncrewed and Autonomous vehicles. Serco has been supporting the Naval Sea Systems Command for over 50 years and has been recognized by the Navy for their outstanding contributions.

In this role, you will:
- Support the planning, direction and success of major projects, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives which have great significance to NUWC. Programs are typically large, multi-year efforts divided into several sub-programs/tasks.
- Support procurement actions, including generating purchase requisitions and placing small orders supporting UUV/AUV projects.
- Track orders against established budgets and provide recommendations to most effectively allocate budgeted amounts.
- Interface with vendors to support significant and complex procurements, including custom fabricated parts, custom circuit card assemblies, and large COTS purchases.
- Support overall program definition, organization, and direction of short- and long-range plans.
- Support the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance.
- Prepare and implement directives to ensure effective logistics support and establish and enforce standards to ensure that the assigned workforce is properly trained and equipped.
- Acquire a working knowledge of customer databases and of the types of information stored in each file.
- Assist in the preparation of appropriate technical documentation.
- As required, verbally present information at project review sessions and in informal interface with customers.
- Comply with security procedures in the performance of duties.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor's degree.
- An active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- 7 years of relevant experience.
- The ability to travel up to 10%.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Knowledge of federal procurements and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Experience with NUWC Newport contracts and financial systems
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in technical writing.
- Proficiency with MS-Office software to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS Power Point.
