We are seeking a Structural and Interior Payload Systems Engineer 2 to assist in the development, integration, and documentation of system requirements for structural and interior payload components. The role includes design, testing, and collaboration with suppliers and engineering teams to ensure systems meet program goals and requirements. This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Secret Security Clearance .

This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, integrating, and documenting structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system designs.
- Develop, maintain, and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3D CAD tools or other design methods.
- Provide product definition to engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Perform tests to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Assist with supplier development, testing, and production activities, coordinating with suppliers to optimize designs and achieve program goals.
- Support investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs.
- Work under general supervision while contributing to cross-functional team efforts.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficiency with CAD software (Catia or NX).
- Aerospace design experience (structures or mechanical systems).
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Basic coding skills.
- Understanding of analysis and load paths in structural systems.
