You Will:
- Modify and create Allowance Parts List (APL) with the use of the Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) Database.
- Maintain spreadsheets that outline outstanding and completed configuration management changes associated with provisioning packages.
- Establish professional relationship with the Technical Support Activity (TSA), NAVSUP Program Manager, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Analyst, Performance Based Logistics - Organic activities and DLA provisioners
- Assist with the processes used to conduct Readiness Based Sparing (RBS)
- Submit Provisioning Contract Control Number (PCCNs), track-provisioning packages and conduct backwards transfers with the use of the Integrated Logistics Information Tool (ILIT).
- Submit weekly reports on the status of each provisioning package and configuration management tool.
You Will: DMSMS (Obsolescence):
- Model Based Product Support (MBPS) Configuration Management and Planned Maintenance
- Review Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and Allowance Parts List (APLs) to build obsolescence tracking spreadsheets.
- Use the Q-Star database and contact manufacturers to identify end of manufacturing dates, sales dates and repair/support dates for repairable items.
- Prepare monthly obsolescence reports and participate in PMW790 Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) meetings.
- Consider inventory levels, demand and availability to determine potential risks or issues associated with obsolescence.
- Conduct research analysis to recommend suitable substitutes or mitigation plans for obsolete items in order to limit risks with system production, operation or sustainment.
You Have:
- US Citizenship
- Possession of, and the ability to maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance
- Strong documentation and oral communication skills to clearly communicate with all levels of employees, management and organizations
- Possession of strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, self-govern and balance multiple goals and priorities
- A minimum of two years' experience using ICAPS and ILIT databases and tools
- Experience with MBPS
- Experienced with the use of the Q-Star Database
- The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- The ability to work with teammates and technical experts in a highly collaborative environment
- A strong work ethic and commitment to quality
- Have a strong working knowledge of DoD DMSMS strategies.
- A minimum of two years' experience submitting provisioning packages.
- A computer hardware, software, or technical background is a plus.
- Associates degree in Logistics or a related field preferred, but other degrees may be considered in combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
