As an Operations Support Specialist, you will sit at the nerve center of a high-impact mission—turning complex, fast-moving information into clear, actionable decisions for government leaders. You’ll monitor and triage incoming work items, create and route new actions to the right stakeholders, and track them through to completion, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. Drawing on your background in compliance, legal, auditing, or NSA mission-related work, you’ll maintain and refine critical documentation in tools like Track-It, JIRA, Confluence, and corporate data repositories, while analyzing and summarizing key points that shape policy and operational outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, communication, and process improvement—and who wants their day-to-day work to directly support national security decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS

a. Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business, Accounting, or a related field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Management and Information Technology) from an accredited college or university is required.
b. Six (6) years of relevant experience and an Associate’s degree or Five (5) years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree, or Three (3) years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree. Two (2) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for an Associate’s degree for a total of Eight (8) years. Relevant experience must be performing compliance, legal, auditing, or related work, and can also include working in an area directly related to NSA mission (e.g., collection, intelligence, cybersecurity).
Monitors and triages incoming work items, analyzes and compiles information to create new actions, routes actions to appropriate stakeholders, documents and tracks actions to completion, analyzes and summarizes key points relevant to government decision makers, organizes and relays government responses.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Maintain documentation (e.g., Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs), official responses to actions, tracking spreadsheets and databases, and decision memos) to be kept in Track-It, JIRA, Confluence, Siteworks, Corporate Data Repositories and shared directories
• Perform quality control on incoming requests, monitor, and process requests to closure
• Perform quality control on incoming work items
• Generate new actions based on incoming requests
• Communicate and coordinate actions with stakeholders
• Draft, format, and facilitate coordination of SPFs
• Analyze and summarize key points relevant to government decision makers
• Prepare meeting agendas, record decisions, track follow-on actions to closure
• Collect and compile information to report statuses and metrics
• Train new team members
• Assists in designing and creating web pages, data storage mechanisms and, documenting new and existing procedures
• Assists in the implementation of operating methods to improve processing, distribution of information, and process controls
