As a System Engineer Level 3, you will be the technical lead at the heart of mission-critical operations for an intelligence community customer—designing, integrating, and sustaining complex enterprise systems that simply cannot fail. Leveraging your deep experience with NSA system architecture and IC compliance, you’ll architect secure, resilient workflows using ONEROOF, PITCHHITTER, NiFi, and a blend of Linux, Windows Server, virtualization, and GOTS capabilities. You won’t just keep systems running—you’ll shape how they evolve, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, well-documented solutions that raise the bar for performance, security, and reliability across the enterprise.
REQUIREMENTS
a. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
b. Twenty (20) years of experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning or leading System Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. Five (5) years of experience in the legal or technical aspects of Intelligence Community Compliance required. Five (5) years of experience with NSA System Architecture.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level systems that support mission-critical operations. You will work with ONEROOF, PITCHHITTER, NiFi, and various Systems Administration (SA) components, ensuring seamless virtualization, Linux environments, GOTS product integration, and Windows Server administration.
• Architect, configure, and maintain systems utilizing ONEROOF, PITCHHITTER, and NiFi to optimize workflow and data processing.
• Provide virtualization support, including cloud-based and on-premises solutions.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based environments, ensuring high availability and security compliance.
• Manage, maintain and deploy GOTS (Government Off-The-Shelf) products, integrating them within complex system architectures.
• Oversee Windows Server administration, including performance tuning, security enhancements, and automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust system design and operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement best practices for system security, monitoring, and documentation.
