Position Title Personal Care Assistant (PCA) - High School

Overview This School District is seeking qualified Personal Care Assistants to support high school students with intellectual and emotional disabilities. These roles involve helping students access academic content, manage behaviors, and navigate the school environment with appropriate supports and modifications.

Available Positions

• Junior Student:
  
  • Diagnosed with an intellectual disability
  • Included in general education classes with significant curriculum modifications
  • Requires academic support in higher-level content areas
  • No behavioral concerns
• Freshman Student:
  
  • Diagnosed with intellectual disability and emotional disturbance
  • Presents with significant behavioral needs
  • Requires support with emotional regulation and behavior management

Responsibilities

• Assist students in meeting academic and behavioral goals
• Provide physical support and help adapt instructional materials
• Support access to school facilities and classroom participation
• Collaborate with case managers, teachers, and school staff

Reporting Structure Reports to the Supervisor of Special Education and Building Principal

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience working with students with behavioral needs
• CPR and First Aid certification

• FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
• School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test)
• PDE 6004 Form (Act 24)
• Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Forms (Act 168)
