Salary Range: $60 to 70/hr

Introduction

We are seeking a high-performing, versatile Mid-level Software Developer to join our team in Seal Beach, CA. This role supports the Experimental Systems Group and other Southern California programs. The selected candidate will work within the Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA) organization, providing comprehensive software solutions to access and visually transform complex engineering and manufacturing product data.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance
• 3 years of experience with application integration and system architecture, utilizing standard IT lifecycle methodologies and tools
• 3 years of experience in developing data management solutions including writing queries in SQL, .Net, Access, Oracle, JAVA Server Pages and interpreting the data
• 3 years of experience leading teams
• Experience in one or more programming languages such as C#/C-Sharp, .NET, Java, C, C++, COLDFUSION and Web/HTML technologies (Javascript, jQuery, HTML5, web services, REST, microservices etc.), Config Management tools like Azure DevOps(ADO)/TFS, Git and others

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
• 1 year of experience with AGILE Development
• 1 year of experience with Configuration management
• 1 year of experience with ColdFusion
• 3 years of experience with Software Requirements
• 1 year of experience with writing interfaces and ETL development
• 1 year of experience working with PDM/PLM systems (Teamcenter)
• 1 year of experience supporting engineering applications

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, program, test, implement, document, and maintain computing applications
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate end-user requirements, ensuring solutions align with organizational goals
• Write and compile code and construct database objects based on documented design
• Modify or upgrade applications to maintain software functionality, performance, and user experience
• Identify and resolve programming or application architecture problems
• Review system performance and identify and recommend improvements
• Address IT Compliance items by performing application scans for security requirements
• Partner with senior team members on application server setup when needed
• Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve development practices and solutions
• Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including design documents, user guides, and release notes
• Support integration efforts involving Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and custom in-house software applications
