Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify materials and equipment against purchase documents, DD 1348-1A, DD 1149, and DD 250 forms.
- Record and update transactions within Navy ERP, DPAS, or other Government supply systems.
- Maintain proper labeling, tagging, and storage in accordance with NAVSUP P-538, DoDM 4140.27, and shelf-life management procedures.
- Conduct periodic and cyclic inventories, reconciliations, and location surveys to ensure 100% accountability of government property.
- Prepare documentation for issue, turn-in, or redistribution of materials and ensure complete audit trails.
- Assist with the movement of equipment, materials, and HAZMAT items in compliance with DoD and OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain orderly, secure, and clean warehouse spaces; operate material handling equipment (MHE) as required.
- Coordinate with logistics, maintenance, and operations personnel to forecast and fulfill supply requirements in support of NSW training and deployments.
- Prepare supply status reports, inventory summaries, and discrepancy reports for Government review.
- Support the Warehouse Manager and Logistics Officer with readiness reporting and data validation.
- Adhere to SECNAV M-5210.1 Records Management Manual for documentation control.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Navy or DoD supply, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of Navy supply documentation standards and asset management processes.
- Familiarity with Navy ERP, DPAS, or equivalent inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate forklifts or other MHE safely.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced operational environment.
