Kentro is hiring for an experienced Strategic Communications lead for Kentro's VA ESOM-End Point Support and Operations Monitoring contract across the United States. This role will collaborate closely with the VA ESOM Program Manager, Director of Enterprise Portfolio and the Senior Director of Operations to develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan across the entire program and portfolio. In this role, the lead will be responsible for planning, creating and aligning content with organizational goals, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms. This role is responsible for executive level communications, change management and value messaging, ensuring that the value-driven narrative is persistent and articulated in all created content.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead a cohesive communication strategy that integrates team communications, executive client communications, and strategic impact narratives -ensuring consistent messaging and engagement across all pillars
  • Create, prepare, produce, coordinate, and edit a wide range of communication products, including strategy documents, planning materials, talking points, speeches, town hall content, workforce memos, executive correspondence, analytics summaries, and data-driven reports.
  • Coordinate with a range program and project managers, as well as subject matter experts, to produce tailored reports and communications that align narrative dept and impact with audience needs.
  • Utilize a range of tools and technologies to create compelling content across a range of platforms and channels.
  • Provide end-to-end editorial support, including research, writing, proofreading, formatting, quality checks, and coordinating the composition of products for hardcopy and electronic publication, as well as dissemination on multiple platforms. Products will be in a variety of formats, styles, and configurations, including written and web-based products
  • Ensure documentation and editing support includes checks for accuracy and consistency in organization, style, readability, and accessibility based on the medium and audience
  • Draft and refine a variety of communication materials and products, including but not limited to talking points, speeches, quotes, remarks, leadership communications, marketing copy, newsletter content, website content, and other communications products
  • Initiate, plan, execute, and report on tasks independently, as identified
  • Rewrite submissions as necessary to organize, balance, and apply a consistent sense of style, grammar, and flow to these written materials.
  • Lead, direct and mentor activities of junior members of the team.

Location: This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours. Must be able to travel up to 10% as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 10 years experience creating executive level content in the federal client space
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills
  • Experience developing and implementing large program communication plans for a range of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to craft long-term communication plans based on value-driven metrics and measurable impacts.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize independently work under tight timelines
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Impactful team player who looks to enable the team to the end goal
  • Strong writing and editing skills are a must, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive, and mission-aligned communication materials, including press releases, reports, and digital content.

Preferred Skills:
  • Project management skills to plan and execute on-site events as part of an overall communications program.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and events involving Senior Executives, ensuring alignment and impact.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
