I2X Technologies is seeking a Mid Level Network Security Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer at Patrick Space Force Base, FL. This position will be on-site and will require an active * TS/SCI .

I2X Technologies is seeking a Mid Level Network Security Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer at Patrick Space Force Base, FL. This position will be on-site and will require an active * TS/SCI .
- Analyzes, designs, and implements network and cyber defensive architecture and technologies
- Have a strong understanding of networking and network architecture
- Adapt technologies to meet best fit for the mission architecture and threat.
- Assesses assigned Cyber domain to thoroughly understand the mission, architecture and threat
- Advises on technical design and implementation of network and cyber capability required to effectively protect, detect and respond to cyber threats and attack
- Research and evaluate network and cyber technologies, performing comparative analysis to determine optimal solutions based on mission, architecture, and threat
- Design, implement, and optimize network and cyber-defense technologies and integrations
- Authors documentations to include SOPs, checklists, implementation guides, architecture diagrams, crew binders, etc.
Qualifications
- BS Degree and 5 years of experience or BS Degree and at least one of the following: GFACT, GISF, Cloud+, GCED, PenTest+, Security+, GSEC
- 5 years of experience Networking abilities that include administering firewalls, routers, switches, Virtual LANs, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs)
- Ability to access and configure Cisco Router IOS including ACLs
- Demonstrated ability to review and harden network topologies, including secure configuration and vulnerability assessment.
- Experience creating and updating network topologies and diagrams, ideally using Microsoft Visio.
- Exposure to or experience with STIGs.
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting network devices (Cisco experience is essential for this role, CCNA or higher would be great).
- Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) troubleshooting experience
- TS/SCI Clearance required
- 8140 compliant
Desired Experience and Skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with security and IT teams and to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical clients.
- Familiarity with protocols such as TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, and VRF technologies.
- Experience with common firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto), including rule creation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Gigamon a plus but not required
- Exposure to intrusion detection and prevention systems, and the ability to interpret alerts.
- Familiarity with IT change control and documentation best practices.
