Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain AI-driven workflows and automation pipelines
- Rapidly prototype new capabilities based on emerging user requirements and mission needs
- Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and related AI/ML components into operational systems
- Build scalable, modular, and secure APIs and services using Python (FastAPI) and Node.js
- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and other developers to transition prototypes into production applications
- Develop and maintain documentation, version control, and CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot complex software issues and optimize performance in secure environments
- Operate in a classified development environment (SCIF) and adhere to security and data handling protocols
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science and 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in AI/ML workflow or related areas
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, including API and data processing frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript, and modern asynchronous service design.
- Experience integrating Large Language Models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, etc.) and building AI-enhanced applications
- Familiarity with AI/ML software stacks, including model orchestration, vector databases, and inference frameworks
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and mission-focused environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience developing or deploying applications in air-gapped or high-side environments
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, or container-based architectures
- Knowledge of data governance, Zero Trust, or secure integration patterns in federal systems
- Prior experience supporting defense, intelligence, or national security missions
- Current Sec + certification
- Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
