Job Overview:
As a Software Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
• Supporting source code, configuration files, and engineering resolutions.
• Developing and employing advanced methods, theories, and research techniques to investigate and resolve complex software applications and issues.
• Planning, conducting, and technically overseeing projects or significant phases of major projects while coordinating with technical support staff.
• Carrying out complex investigations and testing. Reviewing literature, patents, and current practices pertinent to the assigned projects.
• Reviewing the completion and implementation of technical products.
• Assessing operational feasibility by evaluating analyses, problem definitions, requirements, solution developments, and proposed solutions.
• Demonstrating solutions through the creation of documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code comments.
• Designing system specifications and standards, along with programming/coding and implementing solutions.
• Enhancing operations by performing systems and process analyses, and recommending changes to policies and procedures.
• Advising on licensed software procurements by researching, analyzing, comparing, and documenting vendor and product results, which may involve installation, configuration, and testing of products.
• Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service-related issues to provide insights and recommendations.
• Fulfilling engineering and organizational missions by achieving related results as necessary.
• Developing software solutions by analyzing requirements/user stories, user/system/data needs, collaborating with users, studying systems flow and data usage, investigating problem areas, and adhering to an Agile software development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• (MA/MS) Degree in a related technical field with 8 years of relevant experience, or (BA/BS) Degree in a related technical field with 12 years of relevant experience, or 16 years of directly related technical software development experience with appropriate certification.
• Must possess and maintain a T3/SECRET Clearance.
• Proficiency and experience with any of the following technologies and development tools:
• Agile principles, methodologies, and associated technologies (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab, CheckMarx, SonarQube, Zephyr).
• Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, OCI).
• General cloud technologies (e.g., elasticity, scalability, Infrastructure as Code, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, on-demand instantiation, containers, Kubernetes, serverless/Lambda).
Certifications:
• CompTIA Security+ - Required
• Agile Certifications – Desired
