Blu Omega is seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Specialist to deliver advanced analytical solutions and actionable insights that drive mission success.

As a Data Analytics / AI Specialist, you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge analytics and artificial intelligence initiatives, leveraging your expertise to develop innovative solutions, visualize data, and influence strategic decision-making. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects in a dynamic environment, directly supporting Department of Defense objectives with your technical prowess and strategic vision.

Location: Los Angeles (El Segundo), CA – Onsite support required 5 days a week

Clearance Needed: Active Secret Clearance (minimum requirement)

Responsibilities:

Lead and execute advanced analytics projects, delivering high-quality insights aligned with mission objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and develop dashboards using PowerBI, Tableau, and Palantir.
Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models using tools like Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn for diverse use cases in support of national security.
Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), data cleaning, statistical analysis, and data visualization, promoting data-driven decision-making.
Identify trends, assess raw data, and synthesize disparate information sources into cohesive insights.
Communicate complex technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Manage the full lifecycle of AI solutions, including evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement within a secure environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Active Secret Clearance required.
Ability to support onsite work in Los Angeles (El Segundo) five days per week.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
3+ years of relevant experience in analytics, data visualization, and data science.
Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, and visualization platforms such as PowerBI and Tableau.
Demonstrated knowledge of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and frameworks.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Experience supporting technical requirements translation and dashboard development.

Nice to Haves (Not Required):

Master’s degree or higher in related fields.
Familiarity with the DoD AI landscape, policies, and security standards.
Experience managing AI/ML solution lifecycles, including deployment and MLOps practices.
Knowledge of Palantir, process automation tools like Power Automate, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Hands-on experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and data engineering (ETL, data pipelines).
Understanding of UI/UX principles for enterprise data visualization.
Experience with DevOps practices for machine learning, including Databricks MLFlow.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt quickly to evolving requirements.
