As the Systems Engineer supporting the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Weapon System Engineering, Integration, and Test (WSEIT) Weapon Systems Engineering (WSE) Design and Analysis Team, you will:
• Design & build modern Qt applications (Qt5 Qt6, javascript) that provide intuitive, responsive GUIs for model and simulation performance data.
• Create interactive data dashboards (real time plots, heat maps, 3 D visualizations, playback controls) using QtChart, QtDataVisualization, and Python based libraries (PyQt6, Matplotlib, Plotly) where appropriate.
• Integrate simulation data pipelines (high fidelity) into the dashboards, ensuring low latency updates and seamless user experience.
• Develop reusable UI components and widgets (custom plots, timeline controls, scenario selectors) that can be shared across multiple teams and other Lockheed Martin programs.
• Database storage and retrieval Create and maintain database frameworks for large numeric databases.
• Write clean, well documented code and maintain comprehensive developer documentation for UI architecture, data formats, and dashboard workflows.
• Develop automated unit and integration test suites for UI components and data validation pipelines, supporting SCR verification.

Basic Qualifications:
• Knowledge of systems engineering concepts and processes
• Active or Current Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship Required
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related technical field and/or equivalent experience
• Understanding of overall system engineering process
• Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) design and analysis
• Medium or high fidelity simulation experience
• System performance assessment tactics
• Scripting with Python, Matlab, Unix, Linux, Shell, Bash, c++, etc...
• Ability to define and detail solutions to complex problems and to convey solutions to both senior
management and to the customer
• Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
• Knowledge of AGILE process

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
