The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Discipline organization is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, System Security Engineering (SSE), integration and system level testing, identifying and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues, and developing automated or operator-driven tests in support of system-level integration, verification and validation.

The LTAMDS/GhostEye Department within the Integrated Systems Center is searching for a Section Leader to lead a Systems & Integration team of engineers that designs, develops, integrates, tests, verifies and validates world-class Sensor systems in our Tewksbury, Marlborough, Andover MA, or Pelham NH locations.

As a Section Leader, the candidate will be expected to perform day-to-day management of a group of multi-disciplinary systems engineers, with the primary responsibility of ensuring that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement. Management duties include performance development and appraisal, career coaching and ensuring adherence to company policies, actively participate in LTAMDS/GE leadership team goals and initiatives, support department hiring and support program staffing. Candidates will contribute to the technical oversight of employees, monitor program execution, and provide radar system subject matter expertise in direct support of program efforts and proposal activities.

This position is on site at our Tewksbury, Marlborough, Andover MA, or Pelham NH locations

Qualification You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
  • An active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.


Qualification We Prefer:
  • Prior experience in a functional or leadership role
  • Proven track record of effectively interacting with subordinates, customers, and other organizations and disciplines
  • Experience in implementing business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of the Performance Development process
  • Existing Secret US Security Clearance

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
