This assignment is located at Creech AFB in Indian Springs, NV. Employee may also support TDY deployments to various locations as required in support of Reaper-series UAS maintenance. Tracks all flight discrepancy reports leaving the facility and their return. Ensures parts due in from maintenance are tracked, and takes appropriate actions to meet applicable goals.
Accounts for all materials being shipped out of, and received at, the facility. Keeps a running inventory of stock using appropriate software. Researches and orders parts, materials, and tools for use. Keeps track of government property entering and leaving the facility. Processes paperwork, including filing DD-1149s. Ensures proper allotment of material to appropriate personnel. Logs government property and maintains records with appropriate identifying tags.
USAF equivalent position is Supply Technician Craftsman. Position reports to the Supervisor.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Performs a variety of warehousing duties, which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
• Performs miscellaneous basic quality assurance duties including CTK inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc.
• Manages TMDE/PMEL, HAZMAT, TNB/FOM and other associated programs as dictated by operational requirements.
• Performs comprehensive warehousing and support program duties in support of O&M operations within the site.
• Assists in the basic examination of stored materials and reports deterioration and damage; removes material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
• Verifies materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
• Routes materials to prescribed storage locations.
• Stores, stacks, or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
• Rearranges and takes inventory of stored materials.
• Examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage; removes material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
• May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
• Performs miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc.
• Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies and equipment.
• Shall perform the duties of general housekeeping of both the interior and exterior work areas and grounds maintenance of all assigned facilities not covered by host base contracts.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Requirements:
• Must have Associate's degree, or have completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum
• Minimum of five years actual and recent technical supply management experience required
• Must possess thorough knowledge of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
• Must have the analytical ability to define problems, collect necessary data, establish facts, and take recommended actions based upon applicable established guidelines
• Must be familiar with computerized databases and spreadsheets, and computerized inventory management programs
• Must have experience with material handling equipment
• Must be able to perform Increment Monitor duties to include but not limited to equipment/cargo preparation, documentation, pallet build-up, and hazardous cargo
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a government driving permit
• Must have excellent planning and organizational skills
• Must be able to work under deadlines
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must submit updated SF-86 within 30 days of hire start date
• Must be eligible to gain and maintain a DoD security clearance commensurate with the assigned duties
• Must be able to lift and carry various items in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods to include the wearing of Military Issued Equipment
• Must have had an Active Secret US Government Clearance within the last 12 months. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance
• Must be physically able/cleared to perform ground taxi, towing and operate self-propelled support equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Current DoD Security Clearance
• Minimum of five years' experience in stockroom or inventory control environment and parts counter experience to support RPA operations
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant career field
• RPA operations experience
• Prior experience as a Defense Contractor
• Vehicle Operator Training
