Responsibilities:
• Accountable for all project management artifacts, for a select number of projects, including but not limited to project plans, scoping documents, weekly status updates and the weekly team meeting agenda
• Lead all relevant program & project team meetings in coordination with stakeholders
• Drive process improvements and technology solutions that enhance team productivity and effectiveness
• Review possible improvement actions to enhance team performance and ensure quality and consistency of team execution against targeted project initiatives.
• Anticipate internal and/or external business challenges and resistance and recommend solutions.
• Oversee the development and execution of projects from original concept through implementation and conclusion.
• Prepare and refine detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Qualifications:
• Must have an active/current TS/SCI and must pass CI Poly.
• B.A. or B.S. degree required. Master's degree or advanced training in Management Consulting is preferred.
• 10 years of experience in technology consulting.
• Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience in managing IT projects. IT background with experience in systems development life cycle (SDLC) and different project phases.
• Familiarity with data architectures and technologies and policies.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, and Visio.
• Have excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent creative problem-solving skills.
• Travel Requirements:
• Travel may be required within Washington National Capital Region (NCR) on an as-needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.
Level of Responsibility:
Work includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of administrative/operational needs.
Work Environment:
• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate within a team environment.
• Ability to type, sitting or standing, to complete work functions for hours at a time; ability to move between sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent basis.
• This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week on site, Monday through Friday, within the contract hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
