NewGen is seeking a Strategic Communications Consultant who will design and execute corporate and strategic communication initiatives for government and industry executives. The Consultant crafts messaging frameworks, briefs, speeches, and talking points, aligning timelines to executive milestones and industry events. They evaluate past presentations and produce “TED Talk”-style briefs for the Department of the Air Force chain and industry forums. They develop and design impactful, risk-based PowerPoint presentations for government and industry leaders and conferences—national and local—featuring clear calls to action, humor, interactive elements, relatable examples, and emotional appeals.
Required:
Strategic Communications Leadership – 5+ years directing corporate or government messaging initiatives
Executive Briefing & Speechwriting – 5+ years crafting briefs, speeches, and talking points for C-suite audiences
Messaging Framework Development – 5+ years structuring cohesive, risk-based messaging architectures
Communication Planning – 5+ years designing and executing internal and external plans aligned to executive milestones and industry events
Presentation Design – 5+ years creating “TED Talk”-style and risk-based PowerPoint briefs for executives and conferences
Government & Industry Engagement – 5+ years liaising with DoD and/or Department of the Air Force chains and industry forums
Stakeholder Coordination – 5+ years managing timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination
Storytelling & Creative Writing – 5+ years employing humor, emotional appeal, and interactive elements to drive action
Review & Adaptation – 4+ years analyzing past presentations and innovating new formats
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management – 5+ years partnering with internal teams and external agencies to achieve communication objectives
Duties:
Develop strategic messaging frameworks (25%) – Create comprehensive, risk-based messaging architectures that guide all communication activities.
Craft executive briefs, speeches, and talking points (20%) – Write and edit clear, concise content tailored for government and industry C-suite audiences.
Design and execute communication plans (20%) – Plan and implement internal and external campaigns aligned to executive milestones and industry events.
Produce “TED Talk”-style PowerPoint presentations (20%) – Design and develop impactful, risk-based slide decks for the Department of the Air Force chain and industry forums, incorporating calls to action, interactive elements, and emotional appeal.
Review and refine past presentations (15%) – Analyze existing materials to identify gaps and innovate engaging, thought-provoking content
