Job Description
As a Security Professional - Armed Tech/Media Security Clearance in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct regular patrols and maintain a strong presence at a leading technology location. This position involves carrying a firearm and using your skills to help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. You will play a key role in supporting a secure environment, acting with integrity, and delivering reliability through teamwork. What You'll Do:
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients and visitors while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation skills as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Maintain a visible presence and help to deter security-related incidents within a technology, media, and telecommunications environment.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to prevent unauthorized access and/or activities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding incidents and observations.
- Assist with emergency response activities, following established protocols and supporting first responders as directed.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
- Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times to help to identify potential risks and/or suspicious behavior.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
