SAIC is seeking an Assistant Project Officer to join our team at Fort Benning, Georgia to support the Maneuver Battle Lab to plan and coordinate the ammunition, supplies and personnel support for experimentations for the new capabilities and technology for the Army.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Supports the Live Experimentation Branch with logistical support and resources for experimentation.
- Works directly with Project Officers; Provides recommendations for experimentation planning, resourcing, and logistics.
- Plans and coordinates ammunition, supplies, temporary support personnel, and other resources as required by the Project Officers for ranges and experiments.
- Responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of facilities maintenance and upkeep.
- Dispatches vehicles and performs preventive maintenance checks and services to prepare for projects.
- Serves as a Range Safety Officer for ranges and training areas.
- Will obtain and must maintain on the job certifications required to support range operations, operate designated equipment, and facilitate equipment and ammunition draws and turn-in.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and one (1)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Experience planning and coordinating ammunition, supplies, and personnel support.
- US Army experience in training and operations.
- High degree of personal initiative.
- Must be able to work day or night, in all types of terrain and conditions.
- Must be willing to travel to offsite locations when necessary (travel is limited).
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Must have an active Secret clearance.
- Must be a current US Citizen.
