Description:Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking a System Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 in Owego, New York. As a System Engineering Intern in this role, you will collaborate closely with a team of engineers within the Airborne Electronic Warfare (AEW) organization. In this capacity, you will gain valuable insights into the critical role that Electronic Warfare and/or Mission Planning play in modern military operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with a team of Systems Engineers to integrate and test hardware, firmware, and software components. Your responsibilities will include writing test scripts using programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C, or C++ to debug systems and evaluate performance. Additionally, you will investigate and resolve problem reports, generate and review procedures and documentation, and perform requirements analysis to ensure system specifications are met.
To be eligible for this position, you must be a US citizen, and a government security clearance will be required.

Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing an Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) degree.
Familiar with programming in Python, MATLAB, C, C++, or similar.
Familiar with test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, and/or Signal Generators.
Ability to obtain a US government security clearance.
Desired Skills:
Experience working with Radio Frequency (RF), antennas, or Communication subsystems.
Hardware, Software, or Firmware familiarity
Experience working with Microsoft products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $29,598 - $64,168. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
