Background

• Specialize in weld and coatings inspections, monitoring government and commercial projects
• Manage the welding, brazing, and NDT programs through subordinate managers
• Ensure quality standards are met for structural and pipe materials and equipment from receiving through final inspection
• Conduct internal and external audits, monitor compliance, and suggest corrective actions
• Provide technical guidance, develop quality standards, and administer qualification exams

Requirements

• Degree in weld/structural engineering or equivalent; high school diploma or GED
• Extensive experience managing weld, brazing, and NDT programs
• Experience in waterfront weld/braze/NDT program management for NAVSEA and commercial contracts

Preferred

• Experience in SUBSAFE/DSS-SOC
• Certifications such as NDT level III examiner (VT, PT, MT, UT) and NBPI or NACE level I or higher
