Mayvin is seeking a Research Analyst who will play a critical role in supporting background investigation operations. The Research Analyst will provide analysis of complex problems, definition of functional requirements, resource allocation, operations research, modeling, and process analysis and design.

This contract is pending award.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must have an active TS with SCI eligibility and the ability to pass the FBI CI Polygraph.

Responsibilities :
  • Applies analytical strategies to address clients' business needs across a variety of disciplines, including verification and validation or analysis of approach or results, data gathering, interviews, research, or processes and policies
  • Develops and analyzes metrics, performance measurements, requirements, reports, and recommendations
  • Applies knowledge of background investigative services offered to include Local Agency Check (LAC), National Agency Check with Local Agency Checks and credit checks (NACLC), Single Scope Background Investigations (SSBI), SSBI-Periodic Reinvestigation (SSBI-PR), and Single Scope Background Investigations - Misconduct Investigations (SSBI-MI)
  • Provides analysis of problems, definition of functional requirements, operations research, modeling, and process analysis and design
  • Applies detailed knowledge of client's objectives and requirements and applicable federal laws, regulations, and directives in the analysis of processes, data, fieldwork, requirements, and work products, and documents results
  • Performs work with limited direct supervision
  • Exercises some latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment
  • Provides high-level management support, supervision, research, and technical support to projects and programs
  • Develops and monitors project tasks and schedules
  • Oversees the work of task or project teams and provides guidance and mentoring to lower-level analysts


Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Four (4) years of experience relevant to the nature of the contract work or equivalent
  • Alternative: Associate's degree with four (7) years of related experience
  • Proficient computer skills to include:
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)


Preferred Qualifications :
  • Experience with a law enforcement agency preferred
