As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at an educational location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared to act with professionalism and integrity at all times. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of Allied Universal. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry onto the premises.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or any unusual occurrences during assigned shifts.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed in accordance with site protocols.
- Remain alert and observant while on duty, reporting any security-related concerns or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols regarding the handling and carrying of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
- Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or have an equivalent qualification.
- Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
- Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
