Amentum is excited to offer a night shift, Area Manager position within our Intelligence & Cyber Business Group. As a member of the program management team, the selected candidate will be called upon to work with corporate, client, and staff personnel to meet a rewarding customer mission. Our team is looking for charismatic leaders with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
This is a full-time position managing night shift operations for security monitor services. The Area Manager will work a flexible schedule providing coverage to ensure oversight throughout shift operations from 4 pm to 12 am. Availability for occasional weekend or after 12 am and on-call hours are required.

This is a full-time position managing night shift operations for security monitor services. Area Managers will:
- Will lead by example and enforce compliance with customer and company work standards, policies, and procedures.
- Will act as the on-site managerial authority responsible for making real-time performance and operational decisions.
- Oversee several sites within the WMA during core evening hours.
- Establishes effective relationships and communications, both internally and externally, with people of all backgrounds and organizational levels.
- Accepts responsibility for his/her own performance and demonstrates the capability to assist other team members in achieving success within the organization.
- Contributes to building a positive team environment.
- Mentors, coaches, and trains new members of the team to meet or exceed program standards.
- Tracks time sheets, facilitates clock in/out of employees and monitors attendance of assigned personnel.
- Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely reports.
- Enforces workplace security policies, procedures, and uniform standards.
- Execute guard mount briefings with clarity and command of the subject matter.
- Possess and demonstrates a positive approach toward achieving outstanding customer satisfaction.
- Constantly seeks ways to improve and promote quality with existing and/or future innovations.
- Displays ability and willingness to make decisions and offer guidance in real time.
- Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
- Focuses on resolving conflict, providing performance feedback, recommending, and executing corrective action.
- Maintains confidentiality and protects PII information by company standards.
- Enforce PPE and safety standards across the entire program.
Requirements:
- An active Top-Secret clearance with polygraph at the time of application. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top-Secret clearance with polygraph.
- Minimum six months supervisory experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- The ability to walk and stand for a minimum of 8 hours per shift, for prolonged periods of two or more hours at a time.
- Possess the visual acuity to observe the activities of other individuals from a moderate distance.
- The ability to obtain a Virginia DCJS 01E Unarmed Security Officer License within 90 days of hire.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Scheduling experience, or other demonstrated experience coordinating employee resources to meet customer coverage requirements.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and web-based tools.
- Reliable transportation to visit external sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of experience providing security to individuals or facilities.
- Experience and demonstrated application of adult learning principles in an introductory and/or remedial training environment.
