Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking a Global Algorithm Engineer to join our Client's team.

Position Responsibilities

As an Algorithm and Control Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and testing tracking and custody and firing algorithm solutions, as well as developing and validating complex models and simulations. You will work with a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers to support various contracts and IRADs. A successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Designing, integrating, and testing tracking and custody algorithm solutions for tracking and fire control products.
  • Developing and validating complex models and simulations, such as 6-degree-of-freedom simulations and effects-based simulations.
  • Evaluating system performance in complex scenarios and environments
  • Supporting ground and flight test efforts, including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities.
  • Collaborating with internal leadership and external customers to support program reviews and technical interchange meetings
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis events in order to identify root causes and associated corrective actions.
  • Evaluate process/product performance and participate/interface with the engineering counterparts on program activities to assure processes and products are compliant to contractual requirements.
  • Monitor the product development, including requirements allocation, architecture, design, development, integration, test and acceptance of products and solutions.
  • Ability to evaluate data to identify systemic issues and trends; provide reports to senior management.
  • Provide inputs to the QPM to ensure sound labor estimates on ECPs and ongoing proposal efforts
  • Witness integration and test activities and formal quality testing, as required
  • Perform reviews and inspections of program artifacts/deliverables and associated activities to assure quality requirements, processes and standards are met.

Technical Skills Required:
  • Experience in systems analysis and Sabremetrics-like studies focused on trend identification, process improvement, and error reduction.
  • Software Quality Engineering and/or related discipline processes including Systems Engineering Methodologies (Model Based and DoDAF).
  • Basic understanding of Software Languages (such as JAVA and Python).
  • Code and peer review experience. Experienced reviewer of technical documentation.
  • Experienced root cause analysis practitioner.
  • Process auditing experience. Advanced mathematics degree with a focus on physics.
  • Self-starter who is detail oriented, well organized and able to self-prioritize and complete tasks within in a dynamic and demanding environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills working within a diverse environment and across many disciplines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to create and provide briefings and status reports.

Education Requirements:

Expert, authority in discipline typically with an advanced degree and 12+ years experience or bachelors with 14+ years experience or equivalent; applies advanced concepts, theories, and principles and contributes toward the development of new principles and concepts; works unusually complex problems with consultative direction; erroneous decisions would normally result in failure to achieve goals critical to major organizational objectives and damage the image of the organization's technological capability; advises top management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications; managerial/leadership experience or necessary skills.
