Overview
i3 is seeking a Quality Engineer Specialist to support a unique and complex US Government production/engineering effort located in Huntsville, Alabama. The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing high-level technical and engineering support and leadership. The position involves collaborating with civilian government personnel and a diverse team of engineering professionals to ensure project goals and timelines are achieved. The candidate can expect up to 10% travel. This position is contingent upon contract award, estimated September 2025 timeframe.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing high-level technical and engineering support and leadership. The position involves collaborating with civilian government personnel and a diverse team of engineering professionals to ensure project goals and timelines are achieved. Responsibilities
- Develop hardware check out test plans and procedures.
- Develop verification and validation plans and procedures.
- Solict and review all requisite quality paperwork from suppliers.
- Ensure developed processes conform to ISO 9001 and corporate AS9100 standards.
- Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the QMS.
- Support tailoring of processes for project requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and develop employees on quality systems and procedures.
- Travel approximately 10% to support the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
- 2-7 years of relevant experience in quality control and/or assurance, preferably in the military and/or aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of AS9100D, ISO 9001, and/or CMMI.
- Understanding of Project Management, DoD Contracting, and CMMI standards preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- U. S. Citizenship is required.

- Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
