Overview: The Logistics Technician is responsible for the organization of the warehouse, providing materials receiving reports, documents, or packing slips to project managers, and driving a delivery truck to customer locations when needed. This individual must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and understand basic engineering topologies and documents.

Authority/Clearance: • This position does not include supervisory responsibilities. • US Citizens, Non-Felons. • Ability to pass a limited federal background investigation. • Must have a clean driving record. Must have at least an active Federal Secret DoD clearance.

Principles, Duties, and Responsibilities: • Receive and organize material shipments for customer projects in Futron warehouse. Provide materials receiving reports, documents, or packing slips to project manager. • Organize material in warehouse by customer project. • When needed drive delivery truck to customer locations in Mid-West and Eastern Seaboard. • Interpret engineering documents and blueprints to prebuild audio visual and ITcabinets, racks, and furniture. • Install hardware and devices into racks and cabinets in Futron warehouse per engineering instructions and documents. • Repackage and palletize customer material for reshipment or delivery.• Label materials per customer or Futron label schemes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: • Ability to work without constant direction, self-motivator • Ability to understand and follow through with assignments and directions. • Understand and apply industry standards and best practices. • Ability to understand basic engineering topologies and documents. • Knowledge of cabling and AV standards and practices recommended and preferred. • Must possess a strong ability to multi-task. Strong work ethic and attention to details • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, a variety of governmental employees and officials, and the public. • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. • Set an exemplary example though work ethic, attendance, responsibility, quality, attitude, initiative, and communication. • Environment demands a detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated individual. MS Office applications (Excel, Word)

Education & Certification: • Structured Cabling or AV Technology Experience • Previous Warehouse Manager Experience. • Experience driving large vehicles for delivery of materials. Field installation experience.

Language Skills: • Knowledge, understanding, and skill in reading and writing the English language. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees and management. • Ability to convey a professional and positive image to customers and employees. • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Working Conditions: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand or crouch. The employee is frequently required to sit, walk, climb ladders, climb stairs, and perform to the physical requirements of both an office job and work in the field. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. • Must pass annual physical for driving. The physical demands and work environment that have been described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
