Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and maintain electronic systems including repair and setup of video, audio, process controllers, test equipment, and data acquisition systems
  • Review drawings, specifications and follow planning in support of various development projects
  • Read and understand electrical schematics as well as use a variety of electronic troubleshooting equipment
  • Work closely with systems engineers to fabricate and checkout test systems
  • Good interpersonal skills with other technicians and engineers
  • Willing to work overtime on occasion to meet testing requirements
  • Demonstrate a strong attitude towards safety


Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED and 6 years of Test experience OR associate's degree/certificate in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and 2 years of Test experience
  • Experience gathering, maintaining and compiling technical data
  • Experienced with reading engineering documentation and reports including drawings and schematics
  • Experienced understanding and following electronic work instruction documents
  • Experienced with using Calibrated Measuring Instruments, Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscope, Power Supplies, Electronic Loads and Synchro simulators
  • Experience with Computer Device Management, setting IP addresses, driver compatibility, BIOS settings and communication protocols
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, ability to create and deliver presentations
  • Experienced training and developing less experienced technical operators
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong electronics background and a fundamental knowledge of test systems including data systems, control systems, and other electronic equipment.
  • Computer networking experience (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
  • Experience with Windows operation systems administration and deployment.
  • PC hardware experience, A+ certification preferred.
  • Experience in thru-hole and surface mount soldering as well as data cable fabrication.
  • Experience in set-up, fabrication, and troubleshooting of computer-controlled equipment.


Salary Range: $55,800.00 - $93,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
