Join the Lockheed Martin team in Sunnyvale where we provide technical and engineering support to the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Program!
As a Systems Engineer, you will:
• Lead missile integration test failure investigations in a fast-paced production environment
• Have an understanding of systems engineering principles and failure investigation processes
• Engage with subsystem and package Certified Principal Engineers (CPEs), system integration engineers, special test equipment engineers, quality engineers, and factory personnel to drive investigations to closure
• Travel approximately 5-10% to support mission needs

Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated expertise in complex missile, space, and/or aircraft systems
• Demonstrated technical depth and breadth in an Engineering field
• Experience leading failure analysis via formal failure review boards
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Previous THAAD experience
• Missile Defense Agency (MDA) experience
• EMRB Certified or experience
• Automated test management software (such as Test Stand, Test Studio or Matlab)
• Experience in all phases of development life cycle for missile and/or launch vehicle programs
• Experience supporting production of missile, launch vehicle, spacecraft or aircraft hardware
• Familiarity with configuration control and quality control tools and systems (e.g. EPDM, Q-notes, Vendor Request Information Changes VRICs)
• Electrical laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, Break-out-Boxes) and/or Special Test Equipment (automated acceptance test equipment)
• Experience working with remote field sites
• Ability to drive closure and resolve technical issues/challenges
• Experience as Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or equivalent design cognizant engineering role for missile, launch vehicle, space vehicle, test equipment, and/or aircraft product(s)
• Technical/Engineering degree required
• Active Secret clearance (or higher)

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
