Systems Engineer - Position Description
We have immediate hire openings for System Engineer to support Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Navigation & Electrical (C4N&E) activities at Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD in, Panama City, FL who wants to grow with the Company.

Security Clearance:
This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities:
The C4N SE is responsible for coordinating the effort of all C4N&E tasks, designs, and engineering efforts at the system level. The C4N&E SE is responsible to the Ship Design Manager (SDM) and Deputy SDM for all C4N&E and related systems. Support of the C4N&E SE, and ultimately, the SDM includes:
· Provide technical oversight to Contractor's C&C Integrated Product Team (IPT)
· Confirm contractor's understanding of the C&C sub-system requirements
· Participate in sub-system testing and integration
· Support system integration and test of C&C software releases
· Participate in review and testing of procedures and requirements to verify functionality meets requirements
· Work with the system integrator to review and approve the overall system architecture
· Review ECPs and request for waivers and deviations
· Provide assessment of contractor change requests
· Provide feedback on contractor's submitted CDRLs
· Respond to contractor and SUPSHIP questions
· Provide engineering support for the ARC-210, ARC-220 and IFF as applicable to Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) craft construction
· Participate in weekly SSC design team and C4N&E meetings
· Support SSC Builder's Trials and Acceptance Trials
· Provide feedback on technical documents delivered by the SSC integrator
· Develop redlines to SSC craft specifications
· Participate in review and testing of procedures and requirements to verify functionality meets requirements
· Participate in the software design reviews conducted by the SSC integrator
· Review of software products released by the SSC integrator
Experience Requirements:
Proficiency with common productivity software, including Microsoft Office

Experience Requirements:
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of relevant professional experience, preferably obtained in a US Navy/DoD environment.
- An ideal candidate will have knowledge of/experience with most of the following:
- Maritime Navigation requirements
- Network systems or Modbus and Modbus Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)
- MIL-STD-1553C interface specifications
- Controller Area Network bus (CANbus)
- Data Acquisition Units (DAU)
- The application of sensor technologies in military applications
- The latest embedded architectures used by industry
- Power distribution
- 2D/3D CAD software skills
- An ideal candidate will possess knowledge of/experience of:
- One or more of the following: JCL, SQL, Git, Windows, Linux, UNIX, Java, CMPRO, Confluence, JIRA, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Gitlab, VxWorks, DOORS.
- Scrum Project methodologies and tools
- Proficient in AutoCAD
Proficiency with common productivity software, including Microsoft Office
Educational & Certification Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree
Travel Requirements:
- This position is anticipated to require up to 10% travel, including overseas travel,
