Role Overview:
Prioritizes day-to-day operational management, system reliability, and security compliance for the TOMIS applications and associated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer web-based application servers in production and non-production (development/test) environments.
Maintain the security posture of TOMIS in accordance with Department of State guidelines and lead Assessment & Authorization (A&A) efforts.
Ensure maximum uptime and operational reliability, including troubleshooting, patching, and virus management.
Track and renew security certificates for TOMIS and associated external sites.
Configure, image, and maintain baseline development workstations, including Visual Studio IDE.
Support a DevOps model integrating system administration and software development.
Manage risk scores (iPost), and ensure TOMIS remains within acceptable security thresholds.
Prepare technical documentation and support audit/compliance activities as required.
Responsible for maintaining documentation, compliance with Section 508, and participation in Agile development and DevOps processes
Qualifications:
10 years of proven experience administering application servers and enterprise development environments in a federal context.
Familiarity with Department of State standards (IRM, OpenNet, iPost, etc.) and requirements for system authorization.
Network troubleshooting and deployment experience with virtualized infrastructure.
