We are searching for a talented Software Engineer to join our team supporting the Joint Electromagnetic Warfare Center (JEWC). We are looking for an experienced developer to work with a diverse team of software engineers, data scientists, and analysts to develop and implement a secure, scalable SaaS web portal to facilitate the presentation and dissemination of EMS data and analytically fused products. This includes account creation for access, account privilege management, document product submission, validation, publication, and storage. Ensure the portal supports at least 1,000 concurrent users, provides secure login and authentication mechanisms utilizing PKI authentication, enables document upload and retrieval functionality, and includes an Application Programming Interface (API) that complies with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, Application Programming Interface (API) Technical Guidance. - Provide secure login and authentication mechanisms using PKI authentication
- Ensure the separation of the SaaS solution from data storage and processing, preserving all government data rights.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders to meet technical and operational objectives.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle using Agile or other industry standard methodologies.
Required Skills :
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- US citizenship
- Active TS Clearance with ability to receive SCI
Required Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in software engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with software development lifecycle and methodologies
- Proficient in Java Script
- Prior experience developing SaaS solutions
- Prior experience in SPARQL query development and graph database technologies (e.g. RDF, OWL, or similar).
- Prior experience supporting the integration of semantic web technologies into the SaaS portal, enabling advanced data querying, relationship mapping, and knowledge graph construction.
- Familiarity with software ontology and triplestore databases
- Familiarity with building HTTP-based web services using a framework such as JavaScript, Java Spring Boot, etc.
- Familiarity with source management repositories such as: Git (GitLab, GitHub, or bare Git), Apache Subversion, or BitBucket
Desired Qualifications :
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Familiarity with data description languages such as: XML, YAML, JSON
- Experience supporting Department of Defense or Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) programs.
- Familiarity with secure software development practices
