TIAG is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Security & Infrastructure Engineer to support the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic and the Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) PSS Program.

This senior-level engineering role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security and infrastructure of the PVHE platform, with a focus on the network and virtualization layers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of security principles, network protocols, and virtualization technologies, and will be able to work independently and as part of an agile team to ensure the security and availability of the PVHE environment and its hosted PSS products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement security architecture for the PVHE platform, ensuring compliance with DoD and Navy security policies.
  • Conduct security assessments and testing to identify vulnerabilities followed by remediation and/or mitigation with validation.
  • Respond to security incidents and implement remediation measures within established timeframes.
  • Implement and maintain network infrastructure, including VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
  • Configure and manage network security appliances, such as firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
  • Deploy, configure, and manage VMware vSphere environment, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines.
  • Monitor the PVHE environment for security threats and performance issues.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and security problems.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for the PVHE infrastructure and security architecture.
  • Support the integration of PVHE with other enterprise platforms if necessary.
  • Drive the adoption of SAFe practices within the PVHE development teams, ensuring alignment with the overall SAFe implementation.
  • Lead the deployment and management of Elasticsearch Enterprise clusters, ensuring scalability, performance, and security including Elastic agent deployment.
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for deploying IT service infrastructure, including networking, storage, and compute resources.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering, security engineering, and virtualization.
  • Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
  • Deep expertise in network protocols and technologies, including VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
  • Extensive experience with VMware vSphere administration.
  • Proven experience deploying and managing Elasticsearch Enterprise clusters in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing IaC solutions for deploying IT service infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, and Packer.
  • Experience working in an SAFe agile environment, with a strong understanding of SAFe principles.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash).
  • Experience with security automation tools (SAST/DAST).
  • Experience with CNIC PSS systems and requirements.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCIE, VCP).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCIE, VCP)
  • SAFe certifications (e.g., SAFe Practitioner, SAFe Scrum Master).

Pay Range: $130,000 - $160,000 per year
