Basic Qualifications

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Advanced Field Support Specialist supporting the Nosis and STRMS Programs. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
As the Advanced Field Support Specialist, you'll install and repair equipment, instruct customers in equipment operation, provide technical assistance and check equipment for malfunctions. We'll count on you to plan, direct and monitor activities performed on one or more field service projects. You'll make an impact by providing technical leadership for field activities associated with installing, maintaining, integrating, troubleshooting, testing and servicing of multiple fielded systems/products at customer sites. Target salary range: USD $93,298.00/Yr. - USD $100,951.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related specialized area plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Considerable knowledge of test and diagnostic equipment
- Advanced knowledge of basic tool safety and of system configuration and tactical employment

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Administration, Information Systems, etc., or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Linux, ORACLE, VMware, Hyper-V, MSSQL, Windows Server 2008 or higher
- CompTIA Security + Certification
- Linux + Certification or equivalent training and experience
- Experience with VBScript, JavaScript, Windows Scripting, WBEM, .NET, JBOSS a plus
- Experience with CANES or PPLAN System Administration or Operating Environments
- Use, administration, and maintenance of Nosis and/or STRMS Software Suites
