Description

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Developer to support the Digital Capabilities Office (DCD). The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the development, deployment, and maintenance of high-quality applications hosted in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a primary focus on Google Workspace add-ons and cloud-hosted web applications. This position requires technical excellence, strong collaboration skills, and a commitment to delivering secure and effective digital tools in support of government operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications deployed in the Google Cloud Platform.
• Create custom Google Workspace add-ons and cloud-based web applications to meet mission needs.
• Participate in regular code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, and alignment with project requirements.
• Provide ongoing application maintenance, including issue tracking, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Ensure compliance with applicable security and accessibility standards for federal systems.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to established coding standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Proficiency in JavaScript with a solid understanding of asynchronous programming and modern frameworks.
• Experience developing applications in the Google Cloud Platform, particularly Workspace add-ons and Apps Script.
• Familiarity with Python, HTML/CSS, and integration with APIs and cloud services.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across client-side and server-side components.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile, fast-paced environment.
• Secret clearance (or higher)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Google Apps Script and building automated workflows within Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.).
• Understanding of secure coding practices and government cybersecurity compliance requirements.
• Previous experience in a federal IT or software development environment.
