Storage Administrator

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a knowledgeable Storage Administrator to join a mission critical federal program in Annapolis Junction, MD. The Storage Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the security, efficiency and availability of storage systems. This candidate must hold an ACTIVE Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities of the Storage Administrator:

· Oversee and maintain storage solutions, including Storage Area Networks (SAN)

· Monitor performance metrics, identify inefficiencies, and implement enhancements to optimize storage reliability

· Allocate and provision storage resources based on application requirements and organizational needs and diagnose/resolve storage-related issues

· Implement robust security measures, including encryption, access controls, and data protection protocols

· Oversee disaster recovery preparations, ensuring critical data remains secure and accessible

Qualifications of the Storage Administrator:

· 5+ years of hands-on experience working with IBM storage technologies

· Must hold an Active Secret security clearance

· Ability to work in a 24/7-365 operation

· Extensive storage administration experience working with DHS agencies

· Certifications: IBM Certified Specialist-Storage Solutions, SCSA, SCSP, SCSE (highly preferred)

Compensation of the Storage Administrator:

· Salary: Between $40-50/hr *based on years of relevant experience
