We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer - Mission Management (MM) Product Manager where your experience managing complex product roadmaps, backlog grooming, and prioritization and leadership abilities will be put to good use. In this role, you will help define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and strategy aligned with all Solution Managers. You will collaborate with stakeholders, including Integrated Product Team (IPT), Program Management (PM) leaders, customers, and technical teams, to ensure product outcomes meet requirements and design objectives. In addition to this, you will drive product discovery to gather customer and solution managers' insights and validate product features through user feedback (working groups) and internal data. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO.

What You Will Do
  • Serve as a Product Manager within a SAFe Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure successful execution of program increments (PIs).
  • Work closely with the Release Train Engineer (RTE) and other Agile team members (Product Owners and Scrum Masters) to coordinate the delivery of features and capabilities
  • Oversee the backlog, including prioritizing features, capabilities, and epics, ensuring alignment across all Solution Managers priorities
  • Engage with the Component Architect & Component Chief Engineers to understand technical dependencies and constraints
  • Drive execution with multiple Agile Development Teams (ADTs) to ensure collective objectives are met within the PIs through regular focus group session
  • Active and transferrable TS/SCI U.S. government issued clearance is required prior to start date


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master, with at least 2 years working within a Agile environment
  • Experience in managing products in an Agile context
  • Experience with Agile frameworks (such as Kanban) and experience in executing Agile processes at scale
  • Development experience leading engineering teams on a large-scale government contract


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience in managing complex product roadmaps, backlog grooming, and prioritization
  • Certified SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner (PMPO)
  • SAFe Agilist (SA) or equivalent Agile certifications
  • Experience working in a software development environment and overseeing and/or leading Systems Engineering teams
  • Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions in one or more of the following areas: Concept of Operations (ConOps) development, requirements definition and management, functional analysis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validation

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
