GovStaff is seeking an Azure Data Pipeline Engineer for a permanent job opening in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Preferred Hybrid work arrangement with 2-3 days per week in the office and the others remote. Remote candidates may be considered with the understanding that there will be an initial “ramp-up” period onsite and occasional work scheduled in APG, MD, throughout the year.
Potential candidates must have a minimum Secret Security Clearance and hands-on experience with Cloud-Based Data Fabrics. This position will work with the Cloud Team to ensure the Databases in the client HQ Data Mesh cloud environment support the Common Reference Model, a metadata taxonomy shared among data test center cloud spaces. Similar experience is required.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Active Secret Security Clearance
• CompTIA Security+ CE (or other DODI 8570 IAT II certification)
• Possess or willing and able to achieve with support prior to start: Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate (AZ104) – OR – Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect
• Possess or willing and able to achieve with support within 60 days of start: Certified Azure Database Administrator Associate – OR – Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, CIS or cybersecurity or related field) and 4 years of related experience. If No degree or a degree in non-directly 7+ years of experience required.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Experience and proficiency with relational database technologies, physical database architecture, database design, data fabrics
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Good communications skills
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position combines traditional database design and management duties with modern cloud-based data fabrics knowledge. The Senior Data Pipeline Engineer will fully integrate the application database with a Common Reference Model (CRM) and other authoritative data sources accessed directly via APIs or a data broker. The product database should be structured to not only power the application and facilitate its inevitable future modification and growth but also make data available to other apps through APIs and the customer’s cloud environment.

• Structure the application database to facilitate future modification and growth and make data available to other apps through APIs and the customer’s cloud environment
