Aegis Aerospace is currently looking for a Development Program Requirements Integrator to join our team in Houston, TX.

Overview:

The Commercial LEO Development Program (CLDP) Requirements Integrator will support the Human Health and Performance (HHP) Directorate and the Health and Medical Technical Authority (HMTA) at NASA/JSC. The position will be part of a team of integrators and subject matter experts (SMEs) who work together to ensure CLDP adequately incorporates and implements NASA HMTA standards from NASA-STD-3001 into vehicle design. As Requirements Integrator, you will obtain and maintain technical knowledge in a specific health and performance discipline and engage SMEs for the details. HHP disciplines include crew health, environmental factors, medical operations, physiology, anthropometry, strength and biomechanics, maintenance and housekeeping, safety, habitability and architecture, information management, and displays and controls. The Requirements Integrator organizes and implements processes that facilitate HH&P and HMTA review of commercial vendor documentation and coordinates discussions and products to help assess vendor implementation of HMTA requirements. This position will work closely with the CLDP Crew Health and Performance Officer (CHPO), the HMTA delegate to the Commercial LEO Development Program, to ensure HMTA/HHP is incorporated into commercialization strategies and commercial medical operations. This position will participate in designated meetings and working groups as a mechanism for monitoring the incorporation of HMTA/HHP interests in Program strategies and policies, communicate status to the HMTA/HHP team, and prepare materials for communicating awareness or escalating issues as needed. This position will support the CLDP HHP Team Lead, CLD Provider Leads, and CLDP CHPO with identifying issues, incorporating input from experts and stakeholders, and proposing solutions. The position will interface with HMTA and JSC HHP management as well as with Program personnel.
  • Serve as a Requirements Integrator.
  • Establish and maintain general knowledge of HMTA Standards and commercial vendor implementation of applicable HMTA Standards.
  • Identify, communicate, and help coordinate discussion of issues related to HHP that impact commercial development.
  • Participate in designated meetings as the HMTA/HHP representative. This includes proactively screening agendas to engage appropriate HHP representatives and/or SMEs as needed, taking notes during meetings, and communicating relevant information to the HMTA/HHP team.
  • Coordinate with HMTA, HHP Management, and HHP technical SMEs.
  • Assist CHPO with monitoring and influencing commercialization strategies, which includes medical operations.
  • Coordinate and participate in Program document and design reviews, develop corresponding summary assessments, and follow up on resulting actions.
  • Develop position papers and/or presentations that incorporate HMTA/HHP interests.
  • Participate in HMTA meetings, NASA Human Spaceflight Program meetings, HHP meetings, and internal team meetings; develop and deliver presentations as necessary.
  • Responsible for compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan; must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the Company's safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.
  • Responsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan, policies, and procedures.
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance level as determined by the Company.
  • Responsible for completing all assigned training.

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, biomedical engineering, human systems integration, biomedical science, industrial engineering, or closely related field and 1-5 years' experience.
  • Demonstrated the ability to work independently and shall possess strong verbal and written communication skills including delivering presentations and writing reports. Verbal skills also include the capability to speak up in Program meetings.
  • Capability to listen to Subject Matter Experts (SME), and to understand enough to represent their expertise, but not to serve as the expert to the exclusion of the SME.
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office's suite of tools, especially SharePoint and Excel.

DESIRED:
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with multi-disciplined teams.
  • Experience with human systems standards, systems engineering & integration (SE&I), and human systems integration (HSI) in NASA human spaceflight programs.
  • Experience in NASA spaceflight operations.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., NASA-STD-3001) for human space flight.
  • Ability to effectively interact with customers at all levels.
  • Ability to assimilate large amounts of information and highlight the key pieces that are of importance to the customer is highly desirable.
