Markesman Group is on the lookout for an exceptionally talented Computer Network Operations (CNO) Developer to bolster our team. This multifaceted role combines the challenges of software engineering, reverse engineering, and vulnerability research across both Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO) and Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO). The ideal candidate will be a driving force in developing advanced tools and techniques to safeguard our nation's critical missions, with a particular focus on exploiting and mitigating vulnerabilities within Windows/Linux/Unix environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and collaborate on the design, development, and deployment of advanced software solutions supporting critical cyber operations.
  • Engage in software development tasks, including coding, debugging, testing, and documentation across Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms.
  • Utilize expertise in object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C, C++, C#, Java) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby) to create innovative solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth vulnerability research and reverse engineering using tools like IDA Pro, Ghidra, Wireshark, and others to analyze binaries and identify security weaknesses.
  • Develop complex applications considering system vulnerabilities, exploit mitigations, and bypass techniques, ensuring compatibility across various operating systems and architectures.
  • Implement effective software lifecycle management practices, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring high-quality software solutions.
  • Work independently and in teams to meet project milestones, track progress, and report directly to customers.
Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance and a polygraph required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • 6+ years of experience in object-oriented programming and development within .NET, Visual Studio, or comparable environments.
  • Proficiency in developing applications for Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms, employing respective internal APIs, and utilizing makefiles or similar build environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with software reverse engineering, vulnerability research, and binary analysis.
  • Strong understanding of network programming, multi-threading, and IPC within Unix systems.
  • Proven ability in managing software development lifecycle, configuration management, and collaborative project execution.
What Will Set You Apart:
  • Advanced skills in static and dynamic reverse engineering.
  • Proven experience in vulnerability research and binary executable analysis.
  • Knowledge of kernel programming and assembly languages.
  • Experience in analyzing and signature network protocols.
  • ACTP or equivalent CNO Developer training.
