CACI is seeking an UNIX System Administrator to support the US Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES) Initiative. NMMES is a program led by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) for the development and sustainment of shore-based ship maintenance and logistics automated information systems. What You'll Get to Do:
Candidates with experience in Solaris Administration and Oracle VM Administration will be able to:
Establish and maintain user accounts, assign file permissions and establish password and account policies
Install, upgrade, configure, test, maintains and support operating system software in a production and development environments.
Configure and implement LDOM's and Zones pertaining to Solaris where needed.
Participates in reviewing performance logs and monitors system performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic level system hardware, software and communication problems and aid in performing configuration and adjustments to enhance database file capacity; performs automated and manual backup and restore processes
Installs, configures and tests software packages
Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Performs daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media
Performs regular file archival and purge as necessary.
Also, must be willing to work off hours to perform maintenance that impacts users.
You'll Bring these Qualifications:
Systems Administration experience - 5 + years.
Experience to include at least Solaris Administration and Oracle VM Administration
Experience for associate/junior level positions may be earned from work or academic pursuits.
Must have an active secret security clearance and a favorably-adjusted SSBI or SSBI-PR updated within the past 5 years
U.S. citizenship (Foreign Nationals must have a CNO-approved waiver)
Must meet IAT (Information Assurance Technical) Level II certification criteria specified in DoD 8570.01-M, i.e. Security +, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security. A computing environment certification such as Oracle Solaris Certified System Administrator.
A computing environment certification such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or an equivalent.
Associate Degree (AS/AA) or Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in a relevant field, or possessing Systems Administrator expertise gained through prior education/training/employment such as military occupational specialty or classification.
These Qualification Would be Nice to Have:
Familiar with DoD network accreditation processes
Familiar with DoD Information Assurance (IA) requirements and practices
